Terms of Service

Welcome to ZipZap. By downloading, installing, or using the ZipZap desktop application or website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

ZipZap is a native productivity application for macOS and Windows. The Service is provided “as is” and may change as we add features and fix bugs. During beta, features may be incomplete and stability may vary.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ZipZap on devices you own or control for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where allowed by law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute ZipZap without our written permission.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or infringe anyone's rights.
  • Interfere with the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the tasks, notes, files, and other content you create in ZipZap (“Your Content”). Your Content is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

5. AI features

When you use AI features, content you submit is sent to the AI model provider you have configured. Output from AI features may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it. We make no warranty that AI output is correct, suitable, or free of bias.

6. Free to use

ZipZap is free to use for everyone. There are no paid tiers, no subscriptions, and no upsells inside the app. If this ever changes, existing users will not be retroactively charged.

7. Updates

We may release updates that add, modify, or remove features. Some updates may be required to continue using the Service.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZIPZAP AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE TOTAL OF USD $100.

10. Termination

You can stop using ZipZap at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ZipZap is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
